Meet Ms. Jelena

Hello! My name is Jelena Spiric-Agins and I would like to introduce myself as your child’s teacher at Laughing Butterflies Home Childcare. I am very excited to be working with you and your family.  I would like to use this opportunity to share with you a little about myself.  I was born and raised in the country former known as Yugoslavia and I moved to United States in 2003 to experience a new life. I am married to a wonderful man named Marc and I am mother to a beautiful two girls Zoe and Malia

Over the last ten years I have committed myself professionally and as a student to the field of early childhood education (ECE).  During these ten years I have worked in a variety of professional settings. I have worked as a Master Teacher at the Montessori at Greenwood Village. This experience allowed me the opportunity to study and teach the philosophy of Maria Montessori. After more than three years of successful teaching at the Montessori school, I received an invitation to join the faculty of Fisher Early Learning Center (F.E.L.C.). Fisher Early Learning Center is an inclusive early learning center affiliated with Denver University and is considered to be one of the top three early learning centers in the state. Being a part of F.E.L.C. has not only given me the opportunity to learn more about ―Read, Learn and Play Curriculum, but has also given me the chance to learn more about an inclusive (special needs) educational program. During my tenure at F.E.L.C. I have had the pleasure and honor to work side-by-side and learn from some of Colorado’s most respected educational specialists.

In addition to my professional experience I am also in the process of earning my Associates degree in early childhood education. I am State Licensed and Group Leader qualified as well as trained and certified in CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions and Medication Administration. I always keep current on all required training and certifications needed to keep my home and business happy, healthy and safe.

Since beginning my career in early childhood education I always knew that children and education were my calling. I am an open minded individual who believes and understands that each child learns differently and requires a unique approach. Which is why I encourage an open dialogue and open communication between myself and my clients. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions, make suggestions or discuss any topic regarding your child.

Together we will help them blossom and grow.
